Harvest Celebration

Posted on: 6th Nov 2019

The academy held its first harvest celebration over lunchtime on the last Friday before half term, presided over by our newly appointed Chaplain, Paul Sanderson.

Students from 6th form, year 11 and year 9 performed music in the dining room for the students, who sang along and celebrated the opportunity to give to others less fortunate.

Local charity Turning Tides came along to tell us all about the work they do in helping the homeless community and the difference our donations will make.

Tutor groups had decorated boxes in various creative ways and generously filled them with items needed. It was a great way to say thanks for the harvest. Thank you to everyone who donated and took part.
