Entry Requirements
Every sixth-form college has entry requirements for each of its courses, which ensure that you are well prepared for the demands of the subjects you want to study. The exact grades you need will depend on the level and nature of the courses you are applying for.
The basic requirement for admission to year 12 is:
A level: 5 or more GCSEs at grade 4+ (or merit at BTEC level 2), usually including English (Language or Literature) and Maths.
Level 3 Vocational: 4 or more GCSEs at grade 4+ (or merit at BTEC level 2), usually including English (Language or Literature) and Maths.
Students who do not have both Maths and English GCSE, but meet other requirements for their courses will have to retake Maths/English.
