Level 3

The Chelsea Foundation Football Academy is offered at three different levels depending on your interests.

We offer a full Level 3 programme, where students would study Level 3 sports and football NVQ qualifications, and the FA  Level 1/2 coaching qualification. Students would only choose the Chelsea Programme and this would fill 100% of their timetable.

Students can progress on to a separate NVQ qualification in the next year which would expand their skills and readiness for a career in the sporting industry.

Level 2

At Level 2, students would complete a Level 1 or 2 FA Coaching Qualification as well as a Level 2 NVQ programme. This would be a year to prepare for moving up to the Level 3 qualification, which means students could be studying football for three years at SRWA.

You would only study the Chelsea Foundation football programme and no other courses.

Squad Only

You might be interested in playing football, but still interested in following a programme of Academic subjects, such as A-levels.

This is possible, and you would only participate in Chelsea training sessions where these fit in your timetable. For the remainder of the time, you would be in your usual A-level classes.

Entry requirements

General Level 2 or 3 entry requirements apply. Where you do not  have GCSE Maths or English you would be required to resit these.

All students must complete a successful Chelsea trial to ensure their suitability for the programme. Trials are held throughout the year.
