Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Policy ConsultationPosted on: 5th May 2020
We are currently reviewing and developing our RSE Policy in response to government guidelines, which become statutory in September 2020.
The aim of relationships and sex education (RSE) is to give young people the information they need to help them develop healthy, nurturing relationships of all kinds; and to navigate some of the risks and challenges of adult life.
At SRWA we want our RSE curriculum to complement and reinforce the lessons you teach your child as they grow up. We recognise that successful RSE is a partnership between schools and parents and carers, so having your input is an important part of providing a high quality programme.
The first consultation period for the Relationships and Sex Education draft Policy has ended and comments and feedback from this consultation have been considered. In response to these, the latest version of the draft policy can now be found here ready for the second period of consultation.
As part of this process, we would like to invite you to read and reflect on the draft policy and share your questions, concerns or suggestions to enable us to provide the most relevant, inclusive and effective RSE curriculum possible.
The second consultation period will end on June 1st 2020 after which the policy will be ratified and published. Please share your thoughts with us at email@example.com
