Posted on: 3rd Feb 2020

We always love to share news of our students achieving amazing things in their lives outside of school and this week we are sending huge congratulations to W6 Sixth Form student student Maisie Standen on being selected for the U17 England Waterpolo team for the EU Nations Cup.

Maisie started playing waterpolo in 2017 and within six months she was selected for the South East Region U16s and has since continued to represent the South East region and Sussex county teams.

Maisie predominately trains at Worthing and also trains in Manchester for The National Academy She has been playing for the Mid Sussex Marlins polo team in the BWPL (British water polo league) and continues to play for Worthing in the London Womens' league. She also plays for Worthing in the NAGS (national age group).

In 2019 Maisie was nominated for the national academy from which she has now been selected to represent England in the squad of 15 in the under 17s EU nations in March.

Next steps for Maisie will be to continue to train hard and trial for GB in the U19s squad in 2022.

Great work Masie!
