A-Level Results

Continuing success for A level students at Sir Robert Woodard Academy:

Students and staff at SRWA, a member of the Woodard Academies Trust, are today celebrating another  excellent set of A-Level results.

Most pleasingly, the number of students who achieved the top grades of A*-B has increased to 53%. A positive, overall improvement on last year’s performance.

At the very top end, there was an increase in the achievement of higher grades with an impressive 23% of candidates achieving an A* or equivalent . In Maths, English and History one in three students achieved an A* or A, giving many of our students access to some of the country’s finest universities.

The Academy offers a broad selection of subjects ranging from academic A-levels to a variety of equivalent qualifications. Among the many successes, students excelled in Maths with an 86% A*-C  pass rate, 67% of students in Geography achieved an A*-C pass and in English an impressive 67% of students passed with an A*-B grade.

The successes of previous years continued in Health & Social Care with 100% of all students gaining the equivalent of an A* or A grade.

A key strength for the Academy is in the Performing Arts specialism. Once again, this subject area delivered excellent results with 100% of all students achieving the equivalent of an A* grade. Students achieved these impressive results in disciplines ranging from Acting, Production Arts, and Music Technology.

This year there were numerous examples of excellent individual performance. These achievements are a source of pride for the Academy and they provide a strong foundation for further success for our students. Impressively, many of these students achieved these outcomes while balancing the demands of four qualifications.
