Contacting the Academy

When contacting the academy about any matter relating to your child, your first point of contact should be your child’s tutor. Please email your child’s tutor in the first instance. You can find the email address for your child’s tutor here:

Contact List (Tutors and Year Groups).

Please do not telephone the academy to speak to the tutor. They cannot be reached by telephone during school hours due to their teaching commitments and they are often involved in events or meetings before and after school. If the matter specifically relates to a subject, the tutor will pass on your message to the relevant teacher.

If the matter is more complex, or your child’s tutor has not been able to resolve the matter, and you feel that it requires the attention of the year group team, please email the relevant year group team using the email address provided in the contact list above. It is also possible to telephone the year group office by selecting the appropriate option on your telephone keypad which will allow you to leave a voicemail, however it is often quicker and more useful to send an email.

Safeguarding Issues
For any serious and urgent safeguarding issues, then the Designated Safeguarding Lead should be contacted by email dsl@srwa.woodard.co.uk.

Complaints
For any complaints, please refer to the Complaints Policy. We ask you to consider that in most cases concerns can be dealt with by following the processes above, before the need to turn to the formal complaints procedure.

Meetings
Please note that meetings can only be arranged by mutual agreement in advance between the parent and the academy. This is to ensure that the correct information is available for the meeting, and that a suitable meeting space is available. It is not possible for staff to meet with parents who visit the academy without an appointment, and you will be asked to make an appointment should you visit the academy without one.

Enquiries
Enquiries relating to trips, payments, school dinners or any general enquiries should be addressed to msadmin@srwa.co.uk.

Emails
We aim to respond to emails within two working days, with the exception of safeguarding concerns or complaints when the relevant policy and time frame will be upheld.

For any general enquiries, please contact the main school reception on 01903 767434. Please be reminded that it is not possible to transfer you to a tutor or teacher by telephone and you should contact them by email instead.
