Going Postal Drama Production

This summer’s drama production at The Sir Robert Woodard Academy is an adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s novel, Going Postal.  The production will be held on 5-7 July at 7.00pm, in the SRWA Alan Strong theatre.

In the imagination of Terry Pratchett, the world that we know is twisted and shaped into wonderful patterns.  Sometimes disturbing, often hilarious, this adaptation of his novel is the tale of a con artist, Moist von Lipwig, who is conned into taking the job as Postmaster General in the Ankh-Morpork Post Office.  This is a tale of treachery and betrayal, of the struggle between the modern and the ancient, of romance, revenge, haunted letters and angels.  It is also a fabulous vehicle for some of Pratchett’s most inventive characters; Havelock Vetinari, Mr Plump, Adora Belle Dearheart and Stanley Howler to name but four.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the show.  We are certain that you will enjoy the experience.
