Students spend day with Channel 4 and Instagram

A group of sixth form Media Studies students went to London last week to spend the day at 7 stars media agency at a career inspiration day.  

They were set a brief to create an advertising campaign in which they could use the differing platforms of Instagram, Global and Channel 4. They had to work together with students from other schools on their campaign and then had to present their ideas to the rest of the company in a simulation of a real life pitch. The students then got constructive feedback on their pitches.

The day, organised by Visionpath, provided the students with invaluable experience and insight into the media world and the principle of how companies have to compete for work. A very useful and interesting day.

Student Oliver said: "It was very useful to learn about the different parts of working in media and it was a productive and fun experience."
