Safe Drive Stay Alive

This week our Year 12 students attended a Safe Drive Stay Alive event run by the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Safe Drive Stay Alive is a hard-hitting stage show, aimed at 16-18 year-old students who are either already driving or learning to drive, and aims to reduce the number of young people who are killed or seriously injured on our roads.

The show combines narrative film footage of a group of teenagers whose journey ends in tragedy with real life stories brought bravely to the stage by those people whose lives have been changed forever by a car crash.

Whilst parts of the show are difficult to watch our students agreed that learning about how drink, drugs, using mobile devices and speeding can result in serious accidents was a useful and important lesson to learn.
