Adur Sea of Lights

On Saturday 25th November many SRWA students took part in the Adur Sea of Lights lantern parade, an annual event involving local schools and community groups.

This year the theme was 'carnival' and the students created some fantastic willow sculptures with animal and bird designs as well as some very colourful day of the dead style masks. The lanterns had tiny fairy lights on the inside which when switched on in the dark looked amazing. The effect of all the lanterns together gave a wonderful atmosperic effect at the parade.

The SRWA steel band and dance group also gave a performance and members of the Wendy and Peter cast dressed up in character to walk alongside a giant illuminated ship!

A brilliant event that is a huge amount of fun for participants and spectators alike.
