I’m a scientist. Get me out of here!

This month the SRWA science club took part in the ‘I’m a scientist. Get me out of here!’ online event where students got to ask questions about space and gravity to five real scientists via live chat.

The scientists were leading researchers in the field working at universities such as Imperial college, the university of Glasgow and a research fellow at the European Space Agency.

Our students put the scientists throught their paces with tricky questions such as "How long is it 'til the world blows up?"! They could ask anything they wanted and got to vote for their favourite scientist to win a prize of £500 to communicate their work with the public.

The scientist chosen by our students, Ryan Cutter, a Phd researcher at the University Centre in Svalbard went on to win the overall competition.
