Sponsored walk raises funds for African Adventure

Earlier this month a group students took part in a sponsored walk from Brighton Pier to Worthing Pier. The aim was to raise funds for their upcoming trip to Kenya in April 2018 when they will be travelling with African Adventures to work with disadvantaged children there. Eleven SRWA students from Years 9-11 will be helping to build and run sporting events with children in Nakuru, Kenya’s fourth largest city. The cost of an education is out of reach for many Kenyan children so the charity African Adventures works with schools that have been set up by local people to give children the chance of a better future.

Before they travel to Kenya though, the students need to raise around £2000 each for their travel and cost of their stay through a variety of activities. The time and effort the students put into fundraising in order to afford the trip is outstanding and without the generous support of others they simply wouldn’t be able to go and make the difference they are destined to make.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated!
