Application deadline: Friday 11th May 2018

The SRWA Music Scholarship Scheme is open to Year 7 entries to the Sir Robert Woodard Academy. Places on the scholarship are limited and ALL students wishing to be considered for a scholarship place will need to audition.

Please read the information booklet for full details of the Scholarship offer and terms and conditions. The deadline for applications is Friday 11th May.

The Scholarship Offer:

Individual Specialised Tuition and Training
Candidates will receive instrumental or vocal training from one of our team of tutors.
Weekly lessons in their chosen instrument/voice; developing ability, range, performance skills, confidence and graded levels.
Please note: If candidates wish to learn a second instrument/voice, this will come at the usual cost in line with the Academy terms and conditions for music lessons.

Gifted and Talented
Candidates will form part of the Gifted and Talented cohort and thereby access a wide range of enriching opportunities within and beyond music and the Academy.

Regular Performances
Music scholars will feature strongly in performances by all of the Academy music ensembles, plus have the opportunity to perform as soloists at many of these events, as well as at Scholarship Performance Evenings.

Master Classes
Music scholars will be offered the opportunity to take part in a variety of master classes and workshops throughout the academic year. These will enable them to develop in their specialist instrument/voice, and beyond. Candidates may also wish to attend courses of their own choice.

Instrumental Assistance
The Academy has a wide variety of fully serviced instruments across the orchestral and rock range. These can be made available for hire to candidates upon request.
