Isambard Kingdom Brunel - He was burnt, broken and buried under his constructions but nothing stopped Brunel.  He built under rivers and through hills, creating the longest tunnels, the biggest bridges and the speediest ships the world had ever seen.

The Brunel Chapter encompasses this vision of Brunel of determination and creativity. The Chapter comprises of three subject areas of Maths, DT and Art.  Brunel used his knowledge  of these subject areas to significantly  change the future of  engineering  by his revolutionary methods.

Students within Brunel demonstrate their enthusiasm for learning, which is seen in the I Brunelincreased number of green cards term on term.  The Chapter encourages students to be independent and reflective  learners, as they strive to meet their goals.

We also celebrate the success and achievements of its students both within and outside the Academy, encouraging students be the best they can be.

Brunel students care for the community and are very proud sponsors of the Rockinghorse Appeal.  The Brighton-based charity which has been supporting children for over 45 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, who recognised there was a real need for additional resources to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies.
